I
have
returned from my convalescence break in Abu Dhabi.
The
first thing I want to say is a huge thank you to everyone who
showed me so much love, care and support when I came the
closest to death you can do without returning. I am still
overwhelmed as to quite how many of you came to me in my hour
of need and can tell you that as I write this, the morning
after returning home from my week stay in Abu Dhabi, that I
am, although tired, still lacking equilibrium and stuttering
over some words, feeling much, much better and it is all down
to you so thank you again. I can barely remember anything from
before the flight because of the damage the fever has caused
me temporarily so this is making things a little difficult at
the moment.
My
trip did not turn out as expected, it was not 100% restful but
I enjoyed almost every aspect of it and have returned home
feeling far better than when I left. I did actually have the
worst weather Abu Dhabi could have had for example the worst
sandstorm they have had in 20 years, severe thunderstorms,
rough sea and extreme winds but being a storm lover and the
fact the temperature was 30 degrees plus to me the weather was
fine!
I
wanted to give something back to those of you who helped me
manage my trip away so I took a few photos there and will type
up a detailed diary of my trip – it just may take me a
little time to finish it off.
